The Ministry of Digital Technologies, in partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan and GIZ, hosted a meeting focused on the introduction of digital transformation across Uzbekistan.
GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) is a German development agency headquartered in Bonn and Eschborn. GIZ provides tailored, cost-efficient, and effective services aimed at promoting sustainable growth and development worldwide.
Presentations from the Ministry and IT Park showcased projects aimed at building a robust IT ecosystem, creating numerous opportunities for Uzbekistan’s skilled and youthful workforce.
A key highlight of the event was a visit to UZINFOCOM, an IT Park resident, specializing in a broad range of IT services and executing projects on a national scale. The company delivers solutions powered by artificial intelligence, business process automation, and data analytics, offering cutting-edge technologies and ensuring reliable solutions for its clients.
GIZ introduced a project implemented on digital transformation in healthcare, agriculture, and youth employment in Central Asian countries. These initiatives reflect the importance of integrating international expertise and innovation to drive technological and economic progress.
Uzbekistan, with a population exceeding 37 million, of which nearly 66% are under the age of 30, has a vast pool of talent ready to seize new opportunities. The collaboration is expected to generate significant employment, particularly for younger generations, helping them thrive in the expanding digital economy.
With GIZ’s expertise and Uzbekistan’s strategic vision, the country is on a strong trajectory to achieve its digital ambitions. This partnership will also facilitate the adoption of global best practices, laying a sustainable foundation for long-term digital development.
