The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Rustam Karimjonov and the khokim of Parkent district Elmurod Pulatov. During the event, regional startup teams presented their projects and discussed prospects for further development and implementation.

The “IT-Village” initiative is being implemented in stages in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-178 dated May 15, 2024. The project focuses on providing young people with free education in digital technologies and foreign languages. In total, the program envisages the establishment of 15 centers across 13 regions of the country, forming a unified innovation ecosystem for the development of modern skills.

Currently, more than 1,300 students are receiving free training in IT and foreign languages at operational “IT-Village” centers in the Syrdarya, Samarkand, Fergana, Bukhara, and Navoi regions, as well as the Republic of Karakalpakstan, supported by 27 qualified mentors.

The newly launched “IT-Village” in Parkent district is designed for 60 students and offers training in programming, graphic design, game development (GameDev), space robotics, and foreign languages. The center is equipped with a library, chess rooms, exercise areas, and coworking spaces, creating a comfortable environment for learning and project development.

The new “IT-Village” is expected to become not only an educational platform but also an effective environment for the development of IT services, freelancing, and startup initiatives in the region.
