Uzbekistan to Host Fifth Anniversary of STC-2026, Strengthening Its Role as a Regional Space Industry Hub

Uzbekistan is set to host the fifth anniversary edition of the Space Technology Conference – Central Eurasia (STC-2026), reinforcing its position as an emerging regional center for the space industry.

Since its launch, the conference has evolved into a key annual platform for leaders of the regional space sector. It facilitates engagement between global commercial entities and government institutions, enabling participants to explore investment opportunities, present technological innovations, and establish long-term strategic partnerships.
STC-2026, organized by Dialogue Events and hosted by Uzbekkosmos, is being held at the InterContinental Tashkent. The event brings together 24 sponsors and approximately 400 delegates from 32 countries to discuss the development of the Central Eurasian space ecosystem and expand international cooperation.
The conference is supported by national space agencies from Azerbaijan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan, alongside leading international organizations, including the International Telecommunication Union, International Astronautical Federation, Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization and TÜBİTAK UZAY. The agenda highlights current innovations, market trends and key challenges in the global space sector, while providing a structured platform for knowledge exchange and cross-border collaboration.
The program features keynote addresses, national space reviews from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, technical sessions, panel discussions, exhibition showcases, high-level G2B and B2B meetings, as well as dedicated networking events.
Among the high-profile participants are Kubanichbek Omuraliev, Dunay Badirkhanov, Kuandyk Shulenbayev, Yusuf Kiraç, Christian Feixtinger, Jiang Hui and Ahmet Hamdi Atalay, underscoring the conference’s status as a significant international platform for advancing space cooperation.
The event also features participation by Michael Lopez-Alegria, a former NASA astronaut, and Alper Gezeravcı, who previously flew together on the Axiom-3 mission to the International Space Station. Their involvement highlights the conference’s focus on commercial spaceflight, innovation and international collaboration.
