KOICA allocates $14 million in grants to develop IT education ecosystem

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is implementing a project worth $14 million to “Enhancing Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship through Improving the IT Education Ecosystem in Uzbekistan.”

As part of the project:
- Young people will be systematically trained in modern IT areas such as artificial intelligence, prompt engineering, programming, the Internet of Things, and online marketing for 4 years;
- 500 IT specialists and teachers will be trained;
- Startup incubation programs will be launched with the participation of leading Korean experts.
In addition, the Project will establish 2 modern IT hubs in the cities of Nukus and Karshi during 2026–2032, and 14 IT centers will be built and equipped in 7 districts.
This project will serve to develop the education system, increase youth employment, support innovative entrepreneurship, and strengthen the country's digital future.
