Uzbekistan Hosts Presentation of “Cybersecurity and Ethics” to Advance Digital Security and Education

The Ministry of Digital Technologies hosted the presentation of the book “Cybersecurity and Ethics” authored by Murthy Rallapalli, a professor at the University of North Georgia. The publication was issued by Cyber University, which specializes in training highly qualified professionals in cybersecurity, digital technologies and artificial intelligence.

The event was attended by Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, representatives of the Ministry, international experts, delegates from the University of North Georgia, and industry specialists.
In his opening remarks, the Minister underscored the strategic importance of cybersecurity in the context of rapid digital transformation. He emphasized that alongside technical competencies, the sector increasingly requires a strong ethical foundation and professional responsibility. It was further noted that the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has identified the consistent development of the cybersecurity sector, strengthening the capacity of Cyber University, and the training of highly qualified personnel as priority tasks.
The publication provides a comprehensive overview of modern cyber threats, approaches to their prevention, and ethical considerations in cyberspace.
As part of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Cyber University and the University of North Georgia to expand bilateral cooperation.
The initiative is expected to contribute to strengthening cybersecurity culture in Uzbekistan, enhancing professional competencies, and ensuring a higher level of digital security nationwide.
