Second Asian Women’s Forum Highlights Expanding Opportunities for Women in Science, Innovation and Artificial Intelligence

The session focused on key issues including increasing women’s involvement in STEM education, supporting their professional development in artificial intelligence and digital technologies, strengthening participation in environmental initiatives, and addressing technology-enabled gender-based violence.
Representatives of international organizations, government institutions, academic circles and parliamentary bodies exchanged views and presented proposals aimed at broadening opportunities for women in science, education, innovation and the digital sector.
Participants emphasized that ensuring girls’ access to quality education, creating conditions for acquiring modern professions and digital skills, and encouraging their active engagement in scientific research and technology startups are among the key drivers of sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the session, participants underlined the importance of strengthening international cooperation to further support women’s empowerment in science, education, innovation, environmental sustainability and artificial intelligence, while creating broader opportunities for girls to gain advanced knowledge and participate in the technologies shaping the future.
