Prospects for Effective Cooperation Discussed with Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs Representative

Minister of Digital Technologies, Sh. Shermatov, met with a Delegation led by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, who was accompanied by the leadership of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Deputy Director of Cyprus Invest.
During the meeting, future prospects for effective cooperation, along with concrete steps forward, were discussed. The Cyprus delegation has acknowledged, inter alia, the rapid economic development of Uzbekistan in recent years.
Minister Shermatov detailed the "Zero Risk" and "Enterprise Uzbekistan" programs, which support the entry of foreign companies into Uzbekistan's market.
The discussion also underlined the ICT sector's critical role in creating new jobs and providing high-paying employment opportunities for the youth.
Minister Shermatov explained the activities of the IT Park, tax incentives, and the growth in the number of its residents. He also expressed readiness to cooperate with the Republic of Cyprus in all significant areas.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Uzbekistan, K. Yorgallisu, confirmed the Cypriot government's commitment to enhancing bilateral relations in the ICT sector.
