During the visit, the Minister held talks with Sarita Runeberg focused on strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland in the development of startup ecosystems, innovation and the IT sector.

The discussions covered prospects for establishing cooperation between IT Park Uzbekistan and Maria 01 aimed at supporting the entry of Uzbek startups into European and Scandinavian markets, attracting international venture capital and organizing joint acceleration and mentoring programs.

The parties also exchanged views on studying Finland’s advanced experience in innovation development and technological entrepreneurship, improving startup support infrastructure and further enhancing Uzbekistan’s national IT ecosystem.

Particular attention was given to expanding direct engagement between the startup communities of the two countries, including through the organization of joint events, networking initiatives and investment platforms.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing practical cooperation to support innovation, technology-driven entrepreneurship and the international integration of startup projects from Uzbekistan.
