Uzbekistan and Finland Discuss Cooperation in Telecommunications and Cybersecurity

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Ansi Karkmainen, Deputy Director General of Traficom and Director of the Finnish National Cyber Security Centre.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in telecommunications, radio frequency management, cybersecurity and the development of digital infrastructure.
The sides exchanged views on establishing systematic cooperation between the regulatory authorities of Uzbekistan and Finland, sharing expertise, and organizing joint working groups and professional dialogue platforms.
Particular attention was paid to Finland’s advanced experience in the development of 5G and 6G technologies, efficient radio frequency allocation, expansion of communication coverage in remote areas, and the introduction of innovative digital services.
The meeting also addressed issues related to strengthening cooperation in cybersecurity, training qualified specialists and ensuring the secure implementation of modern digital services.
At the conclusion of the talks, the parties expressed mutual interest in further expanding cooperation in telecommunications, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
