Uzbekistan Discusses Cooperation in Digital Government and GovTech with HAUS and ESTDEV

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a joint meeting with representatives of the HAUS Finnish Institute of Public Management and ESTDEV to discuss prospects for cooperation in the field of digital government and GovTech development.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed issues related to the digitalization of public services, the development of integrated digital government systems, secure information exchange mechanisms, digital identification technologies and the expansion of GovTech ecosystems.
Particular attention was given to accelerating digital transformation processes in the public sector, simplifying government services for citizens and expanding population-oriented digital services.
Representatives of HAUS Finnish Institute of Public Management and ESTDEV presented their experience in implementing international digital transformation projects within the European Union, including initiatives related to e-government systems, data management and the development of innovative digital ecosystems.
The discussions also covered prospects for introducing artificial intelligence technologies into public services, improving the digital literacy of the population and strengthening cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
The Uzbek side emphasized that the country’s artificial intelligence strategy is aimed at serving the interests of citizens, improving the convenience and accessibility of public services and supporting the further development of the digital economy.
