Uzbekistan and ZTE Discuss Prospects for Expanding Cooperation in Digital Infrastructure Development

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with representatives of ZTE to discuss the development of digital infrastructure and data center projects in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, ZTE presented conceptual solutions and technical proposals for the establishment and expansion of data centers in the country. Particular attention was paid to ensure the stable and uninterrupted operation of data center facilities, including power supply systems, backup energy solutions, cooling technologies, information security measures and engineering infrastructure.
The parties also agreed to establish a joint working group to address technical aspects of the project and coordinate the implementation of subsequent phases.
In addition, ZTE representatives presented GovTech projects implemented in various countries and shared international experience in digital transformation. The discussions covered best practices in the digitalization of public services, the development of modern digital infrastructure and the deployment of advanced technological solutions.
The meeting also reviewed progress following earlier discussions held with ZTE Senior Vice President Zhang Jianpeng during the M360 Eurasia 2026 international forum, where the parties explored opportunities for expanding data center operations and strengthening telecommunications infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in data center development, accelerating project implementation and advancing practical collaboration in the field of digital infrastructure.
