Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence Capacity-Building Program Launched in the Republic of Korea

The official opening ceremony of the “Local Government Capacity Building Program in Uzbekistan”, implemented in cooperation with the Local Government Capacity Building Institute (LOGODI), was held in the Republic of Korea.
The program brings together representatives of the Ministries of Digital Technologies, Justice, Internal Affairs, Water Management, Agriculture, and Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as officials from the Tourism and Tax Committees. The initiative is also attended by specialists responsible for digital transformation and artificial intelligence from the khokimiyats of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Fergana Region, and Almazar District of Tashkent city.
The opening ceremony was attended by LOGODI President Ahn Jun-ho, Vice Minister of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea Kim Min-jae, Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Rustam Karimjonov, and representatives of participating ministries and agencies.
As part of the program, participants will engage in specialized training sessions, expert workshops, and practical study visits focused on digital government, innovative public administration approaches, the application of artificial intelligence technologies, and the Republic of Korea’s advanced experience in digital transformation.
The initiative is expected to contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, facilitating the exchange of best practices in public sector digitalization, and enhancing the professional competencies of specialists responsible for digital development and artificial intelligence.
The program is being implemented with grant support provided by the Republic of Korea.
