The meeting began with a presentation on Uzbekistan’s digital economy and ongoing reforms in the ICT sector. Detailed information was provided on the activities of IT Park Uzbekistan, the country’s rapidly developing IT ecosystem, measures aimed at attracting foreign investment, supporting startups, expanding IT service exports, and creating favorable conditions for international technology companies. Participants were also briefed on the growth of resident companies, export performance, and initiatives supporting the development of outsourcing services.

Representatives of UZINFOCOM subsequently presented key projects being implemented in the areas of digital government infrastructure, modernization of state information systems, operation of data processing centers, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. The delegation was introduced to the progress achieved in Uzbekistan’s digital transformation agenda, the expansion of digital public services, and priority projects planned for the coming years.

Discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data center development, digital infrastructure, and other high-tech initiatives. Particular attention was devoted to Uzbekistan’s growing pool of highly qualified young specialists, workforce development programs aligned with the needs of international companies, and efforts to strengthen human capital for the innovation-driven economy.

The parties also exchanged views on the legal and infrastructural conditions being created for foreign investors, the expansion of remote service capabilities, and potential joint projects in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
