Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Rajit Nanda, Chief Executive Officer of DataVolt, and Christian Obando, Oracle Cloud Sales Director for Central Asia, Central Europe and the Balkans.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of modern digital infrastructure in Uzbekistan, the construction of large-scale data centers, the introduction of cloud technologies, and further strengthening the country’s position as a regional digital hub.

The participants exchanged views on establishing a high-tech digital infrastructure ecosystem in Uzbekistan with the participation of Oracle and DataVolt, expanding the use of advanced cloud solutions across the public and private sectors, and attracting international IT companies and investors to the country.

The discussions also covered the technical and organizational aspects of project implementation, including the infrastructure required for data center operations, energy supply, information security requirements, and compliance with international standards. Particular attention was given to creating new high-skilled jobs and increasing the involvement of local specialists in international projects.

Following the meeting, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, Oracle, and DataVolt signed a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding to advance cooperation.

Under the memorandum, the parties will collaborate on developing secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure, supporting the digitalization of public services, establishing a modern data center ecosystem, and strengthening Uzbekistan’s position as a regional technology hub in Central Asia.
