AI Cluster Opens at TUIT

The event was attended by B. Khodjayev, Head of the Department for Financial Technologies, Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Z. Mutalov, Head of the Department for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies Development of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Sh. Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies; along with representatives of ministries and agencies, IT sector enterprises and organizations, higher education institutions across the republic, professors, young scientists, and students.
Consistent efforts are underway in the country to develop the digital economy, broadly introduce artificial intelligence technologies, and train modern personnel for this field. In this process, Tashkent University of Information Technologies as one of the leading higher education institutions training qualified specialists for the information and communication technologies sector continues to strengthen its scientific and innovative potential.
The newly established "Artificial Intelligence Cluster" brings together education, scientific research, and innovation projects on a single platform. As part of the cluster, the university was provided with a modern GPU cluster and high-performance multifunctional servers. This infrastructure enables the efficient development of artificial intelligence models, processing of large volumes of data, machine learning, and scientific-applied research.
In addition, the cluster includes an AI Laboratory, AI Prototyping Room, and AI Lecture Room. In these spaces, students and young researchers will have the opportunity to work on projects related to artificial intelligence, 3D design, IoT, and innovative startups.
During the event, the artificial intelligence module of the ServSig project was launched, promising startups and scientific developments were presented, and views were exchanged on priority tasks in the field of artificial intelligence.
The launch of the "Artificial Intelligence Cluster" marks an important step toward further enhancing the university's scientific and technological potential, supporting young people's innovative ideas, and developing the country's artificial intelligence ecosystem.
