Uzbekistan and Group-IB Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Cybersecurity

The discussions focused on further improving cybersecurity across the public and private sectors, strengthening cyber resilience, combating cybercrime, promoting a culture of digital hygiene, and developing highly qualified cybersecurity professionals.
During the meeting, Group-IB experts shared practical insights into the evolving cyber threat landscape, including attacks targeting the financial sector, and presented recommendations on effective prevention and response measures. The parties noted that, as digital transformation accelerates, ensuring the security and resilience of information systems has become an increasingly important national priority.
The meeting also explored opportunities for cooperation in the early detection of cyber threats, the deployment of advanced cybersecurity solutions, business continuity planning, and the provision of advisory services to public institutions and private organizations. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening digital hygiene and cybersecurity awareness among both professionals and the wider public.
In addition, the parties discussed establishing joint cybersecurity training programs, professional development courses, and certification initiatives in cooperation with higher education institutions to support the preparation of highly qualified specialists for the sector.
Representatives of Group-IB described the meeting as an important platform for discussing current cybersecurity challenges facing Uzbekistan. They noted that the dialogue addressed not only existing threats but also long-term strategic approaches to strengthening the country's cyber resilience.
