Uzbekistan and Ant Group Discuss Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Infrastructure

The discussions focused on collaboration in artificial intelligence, data centers, digital infrastructure, financial technologies, and the deployment of advanced digital solutions.
Representatives of Ant Group presented the company's approach to artificial intelligence development, noting that AI is one of the key priorities of its long-term strategy. They highlighted the company's use of cost-effective AI models tailored to different business and technological applications.
The delegation also shared information on the application of artificial intelligence across financial services, healthcare, and e-commerce, as well as solutions for digital identity, cloud technologies, AI agents, and technologies designed to detect and counter deepfakes. Company representatives emphasized that they view artificial intelligence as a tool to enhance human capabilities rather than replace them.
Minister Shermatov presented Uzbekistan's ongoing efforts to develop a national artificial intelligence ecosystem, expand computing capacity, and strengthen data center infrastructure. He highlighted the country's competitive electricity tariffs, opportunities for integrating renewable energy sources, and favorable conditions for establishing modern data centers.
The Minister invited Ant Group to participate in the development of Uzbekistan's AI infrastructure and to consider establishing its regional office in Tashkent. Ant Group representatives expressed their readiness to explore opportunities for gradually expanding the company's presence in the region.
The meeting concluded with Minister Shermatov inviting Harry Xian to participate in ICT Week Uzbekistan, which will be held in September this year.
