The discussions focused on collaboration in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data centers, AI infrastructure development, and the training of highly qualified IT professionals.

Representatives of Alibaba Cloud presented the company's artificial intelligence strategy, highlighting its experience in developing advanced AI models, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise AI solutions. They also commended Uzbekistan's young and highly skilled talent pool, rapidly growing digital economy, and the country's ongoing reforms to develop its artificial intelligence ecosystem.

Minister Shermatov noted the increasing adoption of Alibaba Cloud's open AI models and technologies by local companies in Uzbekistan and expressed interest in strengthening practical cooperation in AI development, human capital, and professional training. He also outlined the country's favorable investment environment for data center projects, including opportunities to develop infrastructure powered by renewable energy.

The meeting also explored opportunities to gradually expand Uzbekistan's AI infrastructure, introduce modern platforms for deploying artificial intelligence models, and broaden access to AI services for local developers and businesses.

Particular attention was given to developing practical AI expertise, strengthening cooperation with higher education institutions, and creating AI solutions tailored to the needs of government institutions and businesses.

The parties also discussed cooperation in enhancing the capabilities of engineering teams at UZINFOCOM and UNICON-SOFT through joint training initiatives with Alibaba Cloud. The initiative aims to develop a highly skilled talent pool capable of implementing artificial intelligence solutions across healthcare, education, and other priority sectors, while laying the groundwork for future cooperation on the deployment of AI agents and practical AI use cases across various sectors of Uzbekistan's economy.

The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to explore the practical implementation of joint initiatives under the coordination of the Artificial Intelligence Development Center, establish cooperation between their technical teams, and present the initial results during ICT Week Uzbekistan, scheduled for September.
