Forum and Job Fair Held for El-yurt Umidi Foundation Scholarship Holders

The event focused on Uzbekistan’s ongoing digitalization reforms, the role of talented young people in advancing these processes, and prospects for cooperation between the El-yurt Umidi Foundation and the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
Scholarship holders were provided with detailed information on the procedures for studying and residing abroad, as well as their responsibilities following graduation. Particular attention was given to strengthening young people’s commitment to the country, respect for national values, and development as patriotic, ideologically and politically mature professionals.
Participants also discussed the substance and priorities of state youth policy in New Uzbekistan and the role of young people in implementing these priorities.
As part of the forum, scholarship holders were introduced to the activities of organizations operating within the system of the Ministry of Digital Technologies. Representatives presented their ongoing projects, priority areas and opportunities for young professionals.
- IT Park presented its efforts to develop the startup ecosystem, support innovative ideas and projects initiated by young people, attract international IT companies, expand opportunities for resident companies, and increase IT service exports.
- The Digital Government Project Management Center outlined its work to ensure the prompt, convenient and transparent delivery of public services, advance the e-government system, and effectively manage digital transformation projects.
- UZINFOCOM provided information on its activities to ensure national information security, develop the IT infrastructure of government bodies, and establish and effectively utilize unified state information resources.
- The Agency for Space Research and Technologies presented Uzbekistan’s initial achievements and ongoing initiatives in the space sector, including satellite projects, international scientific cooperation, and programs designed to prepare young people for careers in this emerging field.
- The Center for the Development of Digital Education presented projects aimed at modernizing education through information and communication technologies, expanding distance learning, developing electronic platforms and resources, and strengthening young people’s digital and IT skills.
The forum concluded with a job fair involving organizations and enterprises within the Ministry’s system.
Scholarship holders had the opportunity to learn more about participating organizations, review available vacancies and professional development opportunities, and communicate directly with potential employers.
The event provided scholarship holders with a platform to explore career opportunities within Uzbekistan’s digital sector and identify areas where their knowledge and international experience could contribute to the country’s digital development.
