Digital technologies are elevating the relationship between the state and citizens to a new level, making it possible to access services quickly, transparently, and without excessive bureaucratic barriers.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has also identified the development of the "Digital Government" system as one of the priority areas of state policy, with extensive work underway to transfer public services into digital format.
The main goal is to simplify interactions between citizens and entrepreneurs and government agencies, reduce the time and costs associated with obtaining services, cut down on bureaucratic procedures, and enhance the efficiency and transparency of public administration.
One of the most significant outcomes of this process is the steady growth in the number of services provided through the Unified Interactive State Services Portal, my.gov.uz.
905 Services: A New Indicator of the Scale of Digitalization
This year, the number of electronic public services on the my.gov.uz portal surpassed 900 and reached 905. This figure reflects the fact that an increasing share of public services are moving into electronic form, expanding opportunities for citizens to access them remotely.
The pace of this process becomes even clearer when looking at the growth dynamics of services on the portal. Specifically, 525 public services were provided through my.gov.uz in 2024, rising to 800 in 2025. This year, the figure has grown further, reaching 905.
In other words, the number of services offered through the portal has increased by 380 over the past two years, marking a substantial expansion in the range of public services available to citizens and businesses in electronic form.
This demonstrates that the digitalization of public services is not limited to the creation of new electronic platforms but is also gradually shifting many everyday processes for citizens into an online format.
No Need to Visit a Government Office
The main advantage of my.gov.uz is that citizens and entrepreneurs no longer need to visit a government office in person to access many public services. It is now possible to submit applications, obtain certificates, process various documents, and use other services entirely online.
This, in turn, saves citizens' time, reduces unnecessary paperwork, and makes the service delivery process more transparent.
The expansion of electronic public services is particularly important for business entities, since time is one of the most critical resources for business. The ability to obtain various permits, certificates, or other services remotely reduces the time entrepreneurs spend on interactions with government agencies, allowing them to focus more on their core operations.
The Goal of Digitalization Is Convenience
The fact that the number of services on my.gov.uz has surpassed 900 primarily reflects the practical impact of digitalization on people's everyday lives.
For citizens today, public service is increasingly becoming an electronic process completed in a few steps via computer or smartphone, rather than something tied to a specific office building, a queue, and paper documents.
The growth from 525 to 905 services over two years is not merely a statistic. It reflects that public services are becoming increasingly accessible to citizens, and that the relationship between the state and society is shifting toward a digital format.
Going forward, the digitalization of public services, their integration into unified electronic systems, and the creation of even more convenient conditions for citizens will remain among the core objectives of the "Digital Government" system.
