Bobur Khodjayev, Head of the Department for Financial Technologies, Digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov are also taking part in the event.

The summit brings together representatives of 90 countries and international organizations, nearly 60 heads of state and government and ministers, as well as space agencies, astronauts, experts, startups, and representatives of more than a thousand leading companies in the space sector.

Particular attention at the summit is being given to developing the space sector, strengthening international cooperation, and ensuring the sustainability of space activities. Discussions are also focusing on the challenges currently facing the space sector, ways to address them jointly, and the exchange of advanced experience and knowledge.

As part of the summit, roundtable discussions were held on "A New Space for a Rapidly Changing World," "Space Security: Responses from Europe," and "Perspectives on Future Space Infrastructure." Panel discussions were also organized on the topics of "The Global Space Economy," "Security and Cooperation," and "Science and Research."

The summit brings together 19 prominent astronauts from 14 countries, including Thomas Pesquet from France; Samantha Cristoforetti and Luca Parmitano from Italy; Alexander Gerst and Matthias Maurer from Germany; Sultan Al Neyadi from the United Arab Emirates; and Alper Gezeravcı from Turkiye, among others.

The summit's broad range of participants is providing an opportunity to exchange views on the current state and prospects of the space sector, discuss existing opportunities, and establish new connections for future cooperation.

French President Emmanuel Macron took part in a ceremony honoring astronauts held as part of the summit.
