Uzbekistan Ranks First Among CIS Countries in Fixed Broadband Internet Speed

In August, Uzbekistan rose three positions in the Speedtest Global Index ranking for both mobile and fixed broadband internet speed.
The country's mobile internet download speed increased from 62.42 Mbit/s to 65.27 Mbit/s, moving Uzbekistan up from 75th to 72nd place.
Over the past five years, Uzbekistan has risen 65 positions in mobile internet speed rankings.
Fixed broadband download speed also increased over the course of a month, from 94.23 Mbit/s to 94.50 Mbit/s, moving Uzbekistan's ranking from 76th to 73rd place.
Uzbekistan now leads among CIS countries in fixed broadband internet speed, ranking first.
In addition, since the beginning of 2026, mobile internet download speed has increased by 27 percent over eight months, rising from 51.42 Mbit/s to 65.27 Mbit/s.
