The parties emphasized the importance of the widespread adoption of digital technologies across various sectors of the economy, strengthening Uzbekistan’s potential as a regional digital hub, and expanding international cooperation in this area.
The ADB representative noted that the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, the high priority given by the country’s leadership to digital transformation, and the intellectual potential of the country’s youth provide an important foundation for the development of the digital economy.

It was also noted that Uzbekistan’s experience in digital transformation is significant not only for the country but also for the broader Central Asian region. In particular, initiatives aimed at implementing digital solutions, developing innovative infrastructure, and stimulating economic growth through new technologies were highlighted as important factors in further strengthening regional cooperation.

Special attention was also given to strengthening human resource capacity. The parties discussed prospects for expanding opportunities for experience exchange, professional development, and the study of advanced international practices for civil servants through the establishment of a liaison office in Korea.

The ADB also presented plans to develop systematic support mechanisms aimed at strengthening the capacity of civil servants, enhancing institutional capabilities, and ensuring the effective implementation of digital projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation in digital technologies and innovation, support Uzbekistan’s transformation into a regional hub for innovation and advanced technologies, and collaborate on implementing the outlined initiatives.
