The ICPC is a major international programming competition that brings together talented students from around the world. More than 70,000 students and over 4,000 universities participate in the competition, with 140 university teams competing in the World Finals.

During the meeting, Uzbekistan’s interest in expanding cooperation with the ICPC was highlighted, including the possibility of hosting the ICPC World Finals in the country. It was noted that hosting such an international competition would strengthen Uzbekistan’s ties with the global technology community, demonstrate the potential of local youth, and further increase interest in programming.
The parties also discussed identifying and training talented young programmers in Uzbekistan, developing inter-university competitions, strengthening the skills of teachers and coaches, and increasing young people’s participation in international programming contests.

Particular attention was paid to developing the programming competition ecosystem in cooperation with the ICPC Foundation, local universities, and IT Park Uzbekistan, as well as creating additional educational and practical opportunities for young people.

The meeting also addressed opportunities for students to participate in volunteer activities during the ICPC World Finals, gain international experience, and establish connections between ICPC alumni and representatives of international technology companies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants exchanged views on advancing programming education, expanding youth participation in international competitions, and further areas of cooperation with the ICPC Foundation.
