An opening ceremony was held for the Palo Alto Networks training and research laboratory at Cyber University, expanding opportunities for hands-on cybersecurity education.
Palo Alto Networks is an international company that develops solutions for network security, cyber threat detection and response, Security Operations, and the protection of modern corporate infrastructure. The company’s Cybersecurity Academy program is used in the educational process at thousands of schools, colleges, and universities in more than 100 countries worldwide.
The new laboratory at Cyber University will enable students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical training based on real-world technologies. It is equipped with Palo Alto Networks’ next-generation PA-850 network security appliances, the Panorama centralized management system, and the Cortex XDR platform.
The laboratory will provide students with practical experience in managing and protecting network traffic, configuring security policies, monitoring events, detecting signs of cyberattacks, and analyzing and responding to security incidents.
In particular, the Cortex XDR platform will support the development of practical skills in Security Operations, incident investigation, and threat detection. The Panorama platform will enable centralized management of next-generation firewalls and security policies.
The facility is also intended to host training sessions, hands-on laboratory work, cybersecurity research, and specialized training programs for students.
The launch of the laboratory will further integrate cybersecurity education at Cyber University with practical training, help prepare students for professional work, and strengthen their practical skills in modern cybersecurity technologies.
