Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Rajit Nanda, Chief Executive Officer of DataVolt.

The meeting focused on the development of modern data centers in Uzbekistan, expanding the country’s digital infrastructure capabilities, and exploring prospective areas for further cooperation.

The parties exchanged views on the current status of the data center under construction at IT Park Uzbekistan, the final stages of construction, and measures to ensure the project is launched within the planned timeframe. They also discussed the timeline for commissioning the facility, organizational matters, and plans for the opening ceremony.

During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on the project’s role in strengthening Uzbekistan’s position as a regional digital infrastructure hub. The data center is expected not only to meet domestic demand for computing capacity but also to expand opportunities for exporting digital services and computing power to international markets.

In this regard, the parties discussed opportunities to strengthen the data center’s cooperation with international technology companies and attract advanced cloud services and high-performance computing infrastructure. 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of coordinating the next stages of the project, addressing outstanding issues in a timely manner, and continuing preparations for the launch of the data center.
