The event was attended by representatives of the Academy, the Agency for Management Efficiency, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, and the El-yurt umidi Foundation.
Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov also addressed the ceremony, highlighting the importance of digital technologies, innovative approaches, and advanced knowledge in modern public administration.
In his remarks, the Minister emphasized the need to improve the efficiency of public administration, expand the use of modern technologies, and develop the digital competencies of managerial personnel. He noted that a new generation of leaders must apply up-to-date knowledge in their work, adopt innovative approaches, and make effective decisions that serve the interests of the people.
Speakers at the ceremony stressed that, alongside strong professional qualifications, spiritual maturity, integrity, commitment to serving the public, and personal responsibility are essential qualities for those entering public service.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of a leader's moral character and personal example, a thorough understanding of local-level challenges and the pursuit of effective solutions, adherence to the principles of people-centered governance and integrity, and a responsible approach to advancing the country's development. These principles, it was noted, should form an integral part of everyday professional practice.
Academy Rector Jasur Salikhov also congratulated the students on the start of the new academic year. He underscored that training managerial personnel equipped with modern knowledge and competencies, strategic thinking, and a results-oriented approach remains a priority for the public administration system.
In the current academic year, more than 3,000 candidates applied for the Academy's master's programs offered in full-time and distance learning formats. Following the competitive selection process, 189 candidates were recommended for full-time study.
The 18-month master's program is designed to combine theoretical knowledge with practical management experience while developing analytical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, and the ability to address complex management challenges effectively.
