President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a videoconference meeting to discuss priorities for the development of the service sector.
The Head of State stressed that the service sector development program, launched three years ago, has begun to bring tangible results.
In recent years, the sector has demonstrated significant growth, providing stable employment for 1.5 million people. The volume of services increased 3.5 times, increasing from $19 billion in 2018 to $65 billion.
Especially rapid growth was observed in:

🔹 Tourism
🔹 Aviation
🔹 Education
🔹 Healthcare
Since the income level and purchasing power of the population have doubled over the past seven years, the demand for modern services is increasing dramatically.
It was emphasized that ministers and regional governors should ensure that the development of the service sector meets the changing needs.
