Uzbekistan Hosts Seminar on Cybersecurity in Digital Payments and Mobile Banking

A practical seminar titled “Cybersecurity in Digital Payments and Mobile Banking Services: Current Status and Future Threats” was held at the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was organized at the initiative of the Accounts Chamber in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, in line with Presidential Decree No. PF-100 of July 10, 2024, and Resolution No. PQ-153 of April 30, 2025, aimed at strengthening national cybersecurity infrastructure.
Participants included cybersecurity experts from the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Central Bank, and nine state-owned banks, including Uzmilliy Bank, UzSanoatqurilishbank, Aloqabank, Mikrokreditbank, Agrobank, Asakabank, and the Business Development Bank.
Specialists and responsible personnel from the Accounts Chamber, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Central Bank, and the State Enterprise "Cybersecurity Center" delivered detailed reports covering:
• National and international cybersecurity standards;
• Key aspects of protecting information systems amid digital transformation;
• Threat scenarios involving APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) attacks targeting financial institutions;
• Practical solutions for securing digital payments and mobile banking platforms.
The seminar served as a platform for interagency dialogue and exchange of practical insights. Participants received expert answers to their questions and were briefed on emerging cybersecurity challenges facing the financial sector.
The event reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s commitment to enhancing the resilience of its digital economy and financial services infrastructure.
